Under supervision of the Chief Engineer, the 1st Class Maintenance Engineer will maintain and repair all building equipment and systems to include: electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen, laundry, pool, spa, life safety and air handling equipment. The 1st Class Maintenance Engineer will ensure all guest rooms, public areas, back of house and Equipment are kept in the best condition through preventive maintenance and inspections. Maintains and contributes to a positive work environment. 1st Maintenance Engineer will also mentor all Engineers in a class less than their own.
Must be able to open wine and champagne properly, and hold and pour bottles properly. Minimum 2 years prior banquet serving experience in a resort hotel environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Development, Communications,
Speech, Business Administration or related field required.
Minimum two (2) years prior training experience required. Previous training
experience in a luxury hotel setting preferred.
Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (to include, but not limited to,
Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good organizer, meticulous, and excellent public speaker at ease
moderating large groups.
Working knowledge of Human Resources management highly desirable.
Prior experience in a union environment highly desired.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Must have thorough knowledge of nail care and possess general understanding of foot & hand massage treatments.
Assist Spa Supervisor and Manager in day to day operations of the Spa to ensure maximum sales and customer service objectives. Provide recommendations on products and services to guests.
Responsible for maintaining standards of hotel cleanliness set by the Director of Housekeeping. Clean, stock, and provide turn down service for guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction while caring enough to do it well by adhering to the Hotel Service Standards. Help maintain smooth transfer of clean rooms with appropriate amenities and supplies. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. This position must provide clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the guests, employees, and public.
Greet guests as they arrive at and depart from the property; and assist them with luggage. Transport guest luggage to/from guest rooms. Escort guests to rooms and inform guests of all hotel services and features. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and throughout their stay for concierge services, etc. Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities.
High School Degree or equivalent required Bachelor’s degree in hotel or travel industry management preferred. 1-2 years bell/valet experience highly desirable. Experience in a luxury lifestyle hotel highly desirable.
Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule to include weekdays, weekends, AM, PM and overnight shifts. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to read English to a degree sufficient to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks; able to legibly write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger. Ability to work well under pressure of check-in/check-out of guests and handle multiple tasks at once. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
