Training & Recruitment Manager

full time

Manages and leads the Hotel’s recruitment process and is fully responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment innovations. Develops & implements service/culture/leadership training programs within the organization. The programs include but are not limited to quality guest service, work measurement, human resources, operations, leadership/supervisory/team member development.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Development, Communications, Speech, Business Administration or related field required.
  • Minimum one (1) year prior recruitment experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years prior training experience required. Previous training experience in a luxury hotel setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources management highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a union environment highly desired.
  • Prior knowledge and/or experience in hotel operations helpful.
  • Demonstrated track record of strong relationship building and strong follow up skills.
  • Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability.
  • Good organizer, meticulous, and excellent public speaker at ease moderating large groups.

Director of Rooms

full time

Oversees and leads all Rooms Division Departments in maximizing room revenues and occupancy. As a member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Rooms is a highly visible role participating in total hotel management and reports to the General Manager.



Responsibilities

  • - Leads all Rooms Division Departments to include Front Office, Guest Services, Guest Experience, Concierge, Housekeeping, Engineering, Spa and Security
  • - Develop the performance of all Rooms Division department managers to ensure the highest level of guest and employee satisfaction in a cost efficient manner
  • - Complete annual budgets for all Rooms Division departments and assist the General Manager in developing, implementing, monitoring and achieving the objectives of Sales Strategies, Pricing, Revenue Management, and the Operations/Capital Budget
  • - Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are fully implemented in all departments, including Human Resources, Safety and Emergency
  • - Protect and enhance the value of all hotel values through appropriate programs in repairs and maintenance, preventative maintenance, housekeeping, security and capital budgeting process
  • - Assist the General Manager in reviewing and approving all operating expenses for the hotel; and end of month expenses are in line with budget
  • - Perform other tasks associated as necessary to achieve the financial performance and goals of the company

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • - Bachelor's degree in hotel management, travel industry management, or related field required
  • - Minimum three (3) years of previous hospitality managerial experience leading the rooms department required
  • - Three (3) to five (5) years prior experience as a department head in Rooms Division preferred
  • - Prior experience as a Director of Rooms for a luxury hotel preferred
  • - Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • - Must have a strong aptitude in financial management, financial reports and analysis
  • - Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
  • - Prior experience with PMS and POS required
  • - Working knowledge in Opera and Micros preferred
  • - Knowledge in working with social media sites preferred

  • - Certification of previous training in alcohol awareness, CPR, First Aid, AED preferred
