Director of Guest Relations

Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, health, safety and liquor laws and regulations. Prior knowledge of a Point of Sale (POS) system required. Micros OS experience preferred. 1-2 years prior supervisory experience in a luxury Food and Beverage environment required. Baker II

Responsible for assisting with bakery needs in all Modern Honolulu F&B outlets.  Ensure beautiful and superior quality baked goods, appetizers and salads.  Prepare breads and pastries, including preparing dough’s and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.  Ensure all pastry and cold food preparation and plate presentation is to established specifications while caring enough to do it well by adhering to The Modern Honolulu standards.  Review production sheet to understand variety of baked goods to be produced daily. Prepare and cook according to recipes, food prep checklists, and quality/presentation standards.  Maintain kitchen logs for good safety program compliance.  Keep Chef informed of excess food items for planning of daily specials.   Follow and ensure compliance with good safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.   Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food - report issues to management.   Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served through shift.  Must possess a good command of English with the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate verbally and written.  



Experience in a 4-5 star hotel culinary program highly desirable.  Prior experience in luxury hotel environment in similar capacity preferred.
