Ravish’s Very Own Chef Jo leaves Judge’s swooning at Live & Dine 2017
Live and Dine 2017, the ultimate cooking challenge featuring Hānaiali‘i Fine Wines, proved proof positive that our very own Chef Jo Seuk knows a thing or two about creating dessert masterpieces! Chefs were challenged to prepare unique dishes infused with Hānaiali‘i Merlot. Chef Jo's delightful dessert was runner-up in the Judge's Choice Category.
About Chef Jo
Born and raised in New York, Chef Jo was always into the arts, whether it was culinary, fine, or performing, and found her passion after enrolling in the French Culinary Institute in NYC, where she graduated at the top of her class in Pastry Arts.
Chef Jo interned and worked with some of the most renowned cake artists in the country, such as Colette Peters, and Ron Ben-Israel. She entered the restaurant/hotel industry, working for celebrated Chef Jean-Georges at The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges, NoMo Soho Hotel, and the legendary NYC Landmark, Le Cirque, where she quickly moved up the ranks to become Executive Pastry Chef. Working and eating her way through the food capital of the world has given Chef Jo tremendous inspiration and creativity, which she applies to her pastry skills wherever she goes.
After living in New York and the east coast virtually her entire life, she moved across the globe to Hawaii, to live a life completely different from her normal concrete jungle lifestyle. She is enjoying island life to the fullest, surfing and hiking, and is inspired by the culture and flavors of the island while creating her dessert masterworks at RAVISH.
