Join us at RAVISH on Tuesday, February 6th for our very first EATS & BEATS art show, featuring incredible local artist and illustrator, Brady Evans. During the first Happy Hour, from 5pm to 7pm, Brady’s extraordinary work will be on display, complete with a silent DJ to enhance the experience. Brady himself will be performing a one-of-a-kind, live digital drawing during the event. Admission is free; just grab a cocktail and be astonished by one of Hawai`i’s most incredible young talents.
Brady Evans is an artist and illustrator born, raised, and working in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. With a strong interest in manga and other forms of sequential imagery and storytelling, Evans’ work is often narrative and explores themes that include death, humor, and our place in the natural and supernatural worlds. In 2013-2014 Evans curated the exhibition “Crossing Cultures: The Art of Manga in Hawaiʻi” which explored the influence Hawaiʻi has had on the work of twelve local manga artists and writers. He currently serves as Collections Manager for the Honolulu Museum of Art and is happy to work with and experience a variety of art from all over the world on a daily basis. His work is represented in the collection of the Hawaiʻi State Foundation for Culture and the Arts and numerous private collections in Hawaiʻi and around the country.
